Margao: The capital of South Goa District in the heart of Southern Goa in Salcete Taluka is a flourishing commercial metropolis connected by rail to the rest of India & Mormugao Harbor and by National Highways, with neighboring Maharashtra and Karnataka. Margao is the commercial city of Goa. This is the business center of local Goans. The city is known as the "Athens of Goa".
Vasco-Da-Gama: A contemporary, well laid out city very close to Mormugao Harbor, has striking and broad avenues. The airport of Goa at Dabolim lies on the outer edge of this harbor city. It is also the railway finishing point for commuter service on the South Central Railway.
Ponda : Is also known as the Phenom. It is famous for the a large number of temples in its vicinity. The strategic importance of this city lies in the fact that the upcoming airport Mopa was supposed to come here.
