Websites on Goa

The smallest state and the 25 th state of India, has also the smallest name to its credit that is Goa! Just a simple Query in the search engine of Google.com and not Google.co.in with the simple word, GOA lands us with a collection & compilation of About 34,700,000 results. Mind boggling is what comes to my mind.

Yes, there is so much to say, speak and share of and about Goa that today there are many websites providing general and tourist information about Goa, Goans and anything Goanese (as the Non-Goans call it) (We would prefer, Goenkar or Govekar to Goanese).

This is a select list of websites that Holidaygoa Enterprises genuinely feel are providing excellent information about Goa as a whole. This list will be ever growing as we come across more and more interesting websites on Goa.

In our list we generally avoid the tourist, travel related services and purely commercial websites trying to benefit from the brand that Goa is. We look for websites on Goa having interesting, original, authentic (not third party copy pasted matter) information about anything and everything under the Goan Sun.

Not being listed under our collection and compilation of Websites on Goa does not in any way mean that those not listed are bad or not worth a mention. Any sites that missed our notice does not mean that they are to be missed. We do not promote one website over the other. This listing of Websites on Goa is absolutely free.

Patriarchate of the East Indies, the chief see of the Portuguese dominions in the East; metropolitan to the present province of Goa, which comprises as suffragans the sees of Cochin, Mylapore, and Damão (or Damaun) in India, Macao in China, and Mozambique in East Africa. The archbishop, who resides at Panjim, or New Goa, has the honorary titles of Primate of the East and (from 1886) Patriarch of the East Indies. He enjoys the privilege of presiding over all national councils of the East Indies, which must originally be held at Goa (Concordat of 1886 between the Holy See and Portugal, art. 2). The Patronage of the see and of its suffragans belongs to the Crown of Portugal.

The churches and convents of Goa, the former capital of the Portuguese Indies – particularly the Church of Bom Jesus, which contains the tomb of St Francis-Xavier – illustrate the evangelization of Asia. These monuments were influential in spreading forms of Manueline, Mannerist and Baroque art in all the countries of Asia where missions were established.
